Bhubaneswar-Bangkok Direct Flights To Resume From Oct 2

Bhubaneswar: Direct international flight services from Biju Patnaik International Airport here will resume after a prolonged gap, with IndiGo set to operate flights between Bhubaneswar and Bangkok twice a week from October 2, official sources said.

The initial schedule will have Bangkok-Bhubaneswar flights arriving on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while services from Bhubaneswar to Bangkok will operate on Mondays and Fridays.

The schedule will be revised from October 26, following which flights from Bangkok will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Mondays and Thursdays, while departures from the Odisha capital will be available on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The resumption of the direct international service is expected to provide greater convenience to passengers from Odisha and neighbouring regions, allowing them to use Bhubaneswar as a gateway for overseas travel.

The service could also strengthen Bhubaneswar’s role as a connectivity hub under a hub-and-spoke model, potentially improving access to international destinations for passengers travelling from other cities.

Airfares will depend on travel dates and seat availability and may vary accordingly.

The restoration of direct connectivity with Bangkok is expected to facilitate travel between Odisha and Thailand and give a further boost to the state’s international air connectivity.
