Bhubaneswar: Odisha received 23.0 mm average rainfall during the last 24 hours, while the average rainfall recorded between July 1 and July 7 this year is 150.6 mm against the July monthly average of 339.9 mm, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its bulletin on Monday.
At 165.2 mm, Binika block in Sonepur district received the highest rainfall in the state in the last 24 hours.
The 10 blocks in Odisha that recorded more than 100 mm of rain in the last 24 hours are Pallahara in Angul district (109.0 mm), Bhatli in Bargarh district (127.8 mm), Bijepur and Ambabhona in Bargarh district (109.0 mm and 105.0 mm respectively), Telkoi in Keonjhar district (101.8 mm), Dhankauda, Jujumura and Maneswar in Sambalpur district (155.0 mm, 136.0 mm, and 130.4 mm respectively) and Binika in Sonepur district (165.2 mm).
