Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has appointed senior leaders and functionaries to coordinate various organizational activities ahead of the upcoming bye-election to the Nuapada Assembly Constituency.
In an office order issued by BJD President Naveen Patnaik, 21 leaders have been deployed to manage sectoral responsibilities and strengthen the party’s campaign machinery in the constituency.
The leaders assigned include Pramila Mallick, Niranjan Bishi, Tukuni Sahu, Subhash Singh, Ramesh Majhi, Latika Pradhan, Prakash Majhi, Alka Mohanty, Dolly Majhi, Mohammad Adam, Sk Nizamuddin, Prafulla Singh, Bhanupratap Singh Majhi, Sanjit Mohanty, Giriraj Singh Majhi, Gourihari Mishra, Bhisma Dev Saraf, Raju Gheebela, Nandlal Singh, Japan Mohapatra, and Prabir Mohanty.
According to the order, this deployment comes into immediate effect, with the assigned leaders expected to oversee sector-specific coordination, voter outreach, and grassroots mobilization in the run-up to the bye-poll.
The move underscores the BJD’s strategic focus on ensuring a strong organizational presence in Nuapada, a politically significant constituency in western Odisha.
The bye-election to the Nuapada Assembly seat is expected to witness a high-stakes contest, with both ruling and opposition parties intensifying preparations on the ground.
