Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLAs met the Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati today and submitted a memorandum, alleging that the government is backing down on discussing the fertiliser crisis in the state. The opposition party has been demanding a special discussion on the issue.
The Assembly has been witnessing din over the fertiliser crisis. The BJD alleged that farmers are worried about the shortage of fertiliser across the state. Despite the Speaker accepting an adjournment motion over the fertiliser crisis, the BJD has been creating pandemonium in the House over the issue.
Today’s proceedings were disrupted as BJD MLAs created a ruckus in the House, demanding a discussion on the fertiliser crisis. The House was repeatedly adjourned, and the Speaker eventually adjourned the House till Monday.
