Bhubaneswar: In an interesting development, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has launched a novel election campaign on social media in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dig stating that the Naveen Patnaik government will expire on June 4 and a BJP government will take oath in Odisha on June 10.
The regional party has drafted a letter inviting people to attend the swearing-in function of BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik as the Chief Minister on June 9. The letter has gone viral on social media.
BJD national spokesperson and MP Sasmit Patra uploaded the invitation letter on his ‘X’ handle after the BJP Odisha post on their official ‘X’ handle claiming that the BJD government in the state will end its tenure on June 4, 2024 (the date of the election results).
In his post, Patra has stated that Naveen Patnaik will take oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha for the sixth term. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on June 9 at 11:30 am, he further wrote.
