BJD’s Debashish, Subhasish File Nominations For RS Polls

Bhubaneswar: BJD candidates Debashish Samantaray and Subhasish Khuntia today filed their nominations for Rajya Sabha elections.

They submitted their papers to the returning officer of the State Assembly today in the presence of BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha, Health Minister Niranjan Pujari and several senior leaders of the party.

The regional party has announced the names of two candidates for the upper House. The party is yet to declare the names of two other candidates.

Debasish Samantaray, the former MLA of the Barabati-Cuttack, is the BJD’s district unit president of Cuttack.  On the other hand, Subasish Khuntia is currently serving as the State vice president of Biju Yuva Janata Dal.
