Bhubaneswar: A former MLA and BJP leader Jiban Pradip Das has resigned from the party’s primary membership, just two days after joining the party from BJD. Das cited the party’s deviation from value-based politics and questioned the induction of a chit fund accused into the party.

At a press meet, Das expressed disappointment, stating, “BJP has moved away from value-based politics. How was the accused of chit fund inducted into BJP?” He also claimed the party’s morale has plummeted since coming to power in 2024.

Das hasn’t decided on his future course of action yet.
