Bhubaneswar: A shocking incident has come to light at Paradip Port in Odisha, where the body of a man was discovered on a coal-laden goods train. The train, which had departed from Talcher, was heading to a private company’s premises within the port area when the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel spotted the body.

The circumstances surrounding the death are currently under investigation, with police exploring various possibilities, including electrocution by overhead wires or foul play. The police are also probing the involvement of coal theft gangs, known to target such consignments during transit.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown, and investigators are working to determine the cause of death and gather more information about the victim. An examination of the body is underway to check for any identification proof or external injuries.
