Bhadrak: Bhadrak Town police on Wednesday recovered the body of a youth who has been missing since the last five days from the Charampa area.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Samal of Binjharpur area of Jajpur district.
According to reports, Sunil had run away from home and was missing for the past few days. Some villagers said that he was mentally disturbed. After Sunil’s disappearance, his mother lodged complaints at various police stations but his whereabouts could not be traced.
On Tuesday, CCTV footage showed him getting off a train at Charampa station in Bhadrak district. On being informed, his mother reached Bhadrak Town police station and urged the police to find her son. On Wednesday morning, locals found a body hanging from a tree near the Charampa Baral pond and informed the police about it. His mother identified the body to be her son’s.
The police have sent the body for autopsy and registered a case of unnatural death.
