Puri: The body of an 18-year-old youth, who had gone missing while bathing in the sea at Chandrabhaga Beach, was recovered from Sector 4 of Puri district on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shubhendu Pradhan, a resident of Jajpur district. According to reports, Shubhendu had ventured into the sea near a hotel beachfront when he was suddenly swept away by a strong wave.
Despite immediate efforts by locals and authorities to trace him, he remained untraced on the day of the incident. A search operation was launched, and his body was recovered from the beach the following morning.
