Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded an average rainfall of 49.3 mm in the last 24 hours, while the average rainfall recorded in the state from September 1 to 14 is 189.9 mm against the September monthly average of 231.9 mm, according to India Meteorological Department on Thursday.
Bolangir block in Odisha’s Bolangir district recorded the highest rainfall of 215.0 mm in the state during the last 24 hours.
Twenty-two blocks that received more than 100 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours include Puintala (130.0 mm), Bhandaripokhari (107.0 mm), Kantamal (158.0 mm), Tangi-Choudwar (105.0 mm), Jagatsinghpur (184.6 mm), Erasama (165.0 mm), Tirtol (150.0 mm), Raghunathpur- (129.0 mm), Balikuda (117.4 mm), Danagadi (123.0 mm), Korei (106.0 mm), Madanpur Rampur (193.0 mm), Thuamul Rampur (158.0 mm), Lanjigarh (121.4 mm), Narla (117.0 mm) Jayapatna (114.0 mm), Kotagarh (176.0 mm), Phiringia (116.4 mm) Kendrapara (145.0 mm), Pattamundai (110.0 mm), Dabugaon (140.0 mm) and Muniguda (110.4 mm).
