Bolangir: Kajal Bagh, a woman Sub-Inspector (SI) at Saintala police station in Odisha’s Bolangir district tried to end her life by drinking poison on Wednesday. Fortunately, she has recovered and returned home after treatment.
According to reports, the woman SI had been ailing for some time now and was reportedly depressed over her failing health.
She was admitted to Bolangir Medical Center here on Thursday night and returned to her home in Bhawanipatna after being discharged in the morning.
The female SI drank poison on Wednesday allegedly after a fight with her boyfriend. On coming to learn about the incident, her neighbours rushed her to the Bolangir Medical Center. The police here refused to comment on the incident.
