Malkangiri: Meet Mangala Muduli, a talented young Bonda boy from Malkangiri district, who is on the verge of transforming his family’s and community’s future by becoming a doctor. In a heart-warming tale of triumph over adversity, Mangala has cracked the prestigious National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination, paving the way for him to become a doctor.
Mangala, who hails from the remote village of Badbel under Mudulipada panchayat in the Malkangiri district, has made his community proud by achieving this remarkable feat. His journey to success was not without challenges, as he faced numerous obstacles, including limited access to resources and opportunities, sources said.
After completing his schooling from Government Boys’ High School, Mangala, son of Hadu Muduli, cleared the Plus II board examination with flying colours from Mathili Baladiaguda SSD High School.
However, his determination and hard work, coupled with the guidance and support of his teacher, Utkal Keshari Das, helped him overcome these hurdles and realise his dream.
It was his science teacher who recognized Mangala’s potential and ignited the spark that fueled his journey to becoming a doctor. In short, Das played a pivotal role in identifying Mangal’s potential and encouraged him to follow his heart.
After Mangala completed Plus II, Mangala’s teacher helped him prepare for medical entrance exams by enrolling him in a coaching institute in Balasore.
“Mangala was an exceptional student, and I knew he had the potential to excel in her studies. I provided him with the necessary guidance and support to help him crack the NEET exam. I am still trying to figure out how to get Mangala admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.”
Das credits Mangala’s success to his hard work and dedication. There are many talented students like Mangala in Bondaghati, but they lack guidance and support, which hinders their progress.
Without exaggeration, it can be said that Mangala’s hard work and Das’ efforts have paid off, and he is on his way to becoming a doctor.
Mangala’s achievement has sent ripples of joy throughout the district, with many hailing him as a role model for tribal students. His success is a testament to the power of determination and the impact that dedicated teachers can have on their students’ lives.
