Bhubaneswar: In response to the Cholera and Diarrhoea outbreak in Jajpur’s Bari area, all eateries, including hotels, roadside dhabas, restaurants, fast food carts, fish, and chicken shops, will remain closed for two weeks.

The Bari Tehsil office has issued a notice to this effect, warning of penalties for non-compliance.

According to reports, over 700 people have been infected, and 13 deaths have been reported in the last few days. To control the outbreak, the State government has deployed adequate stocks of medicines, essential supplies, and specialised medical teams in affected areas.

Keeping the gravity of the situation, the Bari tehsil administration has taken drastic measures to curb the spread of Cholera and Diarrhoea.

The Chief Minister’s Office has taken note of the situation and is closely monitoring the situation. The government’s efforts aim to contain the outbreak and prevent further spread of the disease.
