Bhubaneswar: Around 11 percent of voting was recorded till 9 am in the bye-election for the Brajrajnagar Assembly constituency on Tuesday.
Chief Electoral Officer Sushil Kumar Lohani informed that no untoward incident was reported from any booth.
After some glitches were reported in the EVMs at a few places, three ballot units, control units, and VVPAT were replaced.
Covid protocols are being followed and voter helpdesks are available at each booth. Health Department officials are also on alert in view of a heatwave or other emergencies.
Live webcast is being conducted at 50% of the booths. 1000 police officials and 3 companies of central armed force have been deployed at different booths to maintain law and order.
