Bhubaneswar: Representatives from China and Iran who are in the city for the BRICS Education Conference visited the Odisha State Museum on Wednesday.
Superintendent of the museum Dr Bharti Pal welcomed the delegates and briefed them about Odisha’s rich history, heritage, architecture, literature, art and culture.
During the tour, the representatives explored several galleries including archaeology, palm leaf manuscripts, inscriptions, coins, weapons, arts and crafts, and the cultural heritage gallery. They took keen interest in the exhibits related to Buddhism and Jainism in Odisha and appreciated the state’s archaeological work and preservation efforts.
The delegates also interacted with museum officials about the significance of the artifacts on display.
On the occasion, the Odisha State Museum presented the visiting representatives with a book titled “Timeless Tale”.
The BRICS Education Conference is currently being held in Bhubaneswar with participation from delegates of member countries.
