BSE Odisha Extends Deadline For Fresh/Renewal/RUFO Recognition Applications

Kataka: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has extended the last date for online applications for Fresh, Renewal, and RUFO (Recognition Until Further Order) recognition.

According to a release issued by the Board on August 28, the original deadline was August 30, 2026.In view of various requests received for an extension, the Board has now extended the last date for submission of online applications up to midnight of September 7, 2026.

The announcement was issued under the signature of the President, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.  Applicants are advised to complete the online application process within the extended deadline.

For the academic session 2026-27, BSE Odisha has invited online applications for Fresh Recognition, Renewal of Recognition, and RUFO (Recognition Until Further Order).

According to the schedule notified by the BSE, the online application process for Fresh, Renewal and RUFO recognition for the academic session 2026-27 commenced on 10 August 2026. Schools applying for Fresh or RUFO recognition are required to submit the hard copies of their applications to the concerned District Education Officer (DEO) by 30 September 2026, while the zonal offices have been directed to forward the complete set of applications to the BSE Head Office by 20 October 2026.

It is pertinent to mention that BSE grants recognition to schools to ensure they meet the prescribed standards of infrastructure, staff, and academic performance. Recognition is mandatory for schools to affiliate students for Class IX and X examinations, receive government grants and maintain credibility and trust among parents.
