Khariar(Nuapada): Burglars allegedly decamped with six crowns made of silver having a combined weight of around 1.5 to 2 kg from the three temples in the Ramaswami temple complex here today afternoon.
According to reports, the burglary is suspected to have occurred between 1.30 to 3.00 PM today when the priest of the temple was taking a siesta break.
While the burglars have allegedly stolen the silver crowns of the idols of Ram, Laxman, Sita and Radha Krishna, they have also stolen the silver flute of the Krishna idol.
Khariar police have launched an investigation into the matter.
