Burglars Loot Ornaments Worth Over Rs 3 Lakh From House In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Burglars late on Tuesday night looted gold and silver ornaments worth over Rs 3 lakh from a house in Bhotapada under Mancheswar police limits of the Capital city.

According to reports, one Purnananda Bhoi, a railway employee stays in a rented house in Bhotapada. On Tuesday morning Bhoi left for his in-laws’ place by locking the rented house. His wife and children had left earlier. Today morning neighbours after noticing the lock of Bhoi’s house broken informed him over the phone.

Bhoi on reaching his house found that gold and silver ornaments and Rs 10,000 cash kept by him in the steel almirah have been looted. He lodged a written complaint of the incident with the Mancheswar police.

Commissionerate Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
