Bhubaneswar: A 27-year-old youth from Chainihuda village under Dharmasala police limits in Jajpur district has gone missing after allegedly jumping from the Kayama bridge built over the Kelua River.
The missing youth has been identified as Ajay Tarai (27), son of Babuli Tarai.
According to information, Ajay was a businessman and was reportedly under mental stress due to family-related issues for the past few days.
On Friday evening, he reportedly reached the river bridge on a Pulsar bike. Eyewitnesses said he left his bike and slippers on the bridge before jumping into the river. Some locals present on the bridge at that time saw the incident and immediately informed his family.
Upon being informed, Dharmasala police and fire services personnel reached the spot. A rescue operation is underway in the Kelua river to trace Ajay.
Till the time of filing this report, he remained untraced.
