Sundargarh: Unidentified masked miscreants shot dead a businessman in the district headquarters town of Sundargarh today evening.
According to reports, the deceased identified as Murari Tanti of Mohantiapada was shot dead by two unidentified miscreants while he was going to his home after alighting from his car on Government College road under Town Police Station limits today evening.
The miscreants who fired at Tanti from behind were wearing masks on their faces. The miscreants have fled the spot after firing two rounds.
While police have launched an investigation into the matter, palpable tension prevails in the area after the incident.
