Chandbali: Prime accused in the sensational murder of cameraman Manas Swain, Sarmistha Rout and her accomplice Jhuna Bhoi were sent to judicial custody after their extended police remand of eight days ended today.
The Sarmistha and Jhuna were produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court here by the Crime Branch after their second phase remand of three days ended today.
“Since Crime Branch did not seek to take them on further remand the court sent them to judicial custody till April 11,” informed Sarmistha’s counsel.
