Bhubaneswar: A solemn candlelight march was organized on Thursday in Bhubaneswar in honour of the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Bhubaneswar office under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
According to an official press release, the event served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifice and bravery of Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country during the Kargil War of 1999.
The march commenced from the premises of Sainik School, Bhubaneswar, progressing towards Acharya Vihar. Students, accompanied by their parents, departmental officials, staff of the Government of India, Colonel Balu Bharat, Principal of Sainik School, and other school officials, participated in the march.
The event was organized under the supervision of Mahendra Prasad Jena, Field Exhibition Officer at CBC Bhubaneswar. This commemoration aims to instil the spirit of patriotism and convey the heroic tales of the martyrs to the younger generation.
To further honour the legacy of these heroes, the Government of India is observing Kargil Vijay Diwas nationwide on July 26.
CBC Bhubaneswar has planned additional programs on July 26 and 27 at the Sainik School, Bhubaneswar premises. These events are designed to educate students and the general public about the bravery of India’s sons and their invaluable contribution to the nation.
