Bhubaneswar: The Capital Police Station under Bhubaneswar-Katka Commissionerate has issued notices to former IAS officers Upendra Nath Behera and Rajesh Verma as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged disappearance of two sensitive inquiry reports from the Odisha Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

According to notifications, Rajesh Verma, who is currently the Chairperson of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in New Delhi, has been directed to appear before the Investigating Officer at the office of the ACP, Zone-I, Bhubaneswar by July 30, 2026, for examination and to extend full cooperation in the probe.

The case relates to Capital Police Station Case No. 460 dated June 10, 2026, registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police have asked Verma to bring along any documents, records, electronic devices, or other materials relevant to the investigation. This is the second notice issued to him in the case.

Besides, Upendra Nath Behera has been directed to appear before the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Zone-I, at 11 am on July 26 for questioning in connection with the case.
