Nayagarh: Two days after a bus allegedly hit a motorbike leading to the death of a youth in Nayagarh district, CCTV footage has revealed the truth behind the incident.
On May 12, the youth identified as Manas Nayak of Odagaon and his mother-in-law had been injured after the bike they were riding on was allegedly hit by a private bus near the Collector’s office in Nayagarh.
Manas later breathed his last during treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital. Nayagarh Police had detained the bus driver and helper in this connection.
However, the CCTV footage has revealed that Manas had tried to overtake the bus when he collided head-on with another bike coming from the opposite direction. As a result, he fell down from his bike and came under the front tyres of the bus.
