Bhubaneswar: Chief Election Commissioner of India, Gyanesh Kumar, will be on a three-day official visit to Odisha from December 27 to December 29.
As per the schedule, Kumar will begin his visit on December 27 (Saturday) with a trip to Puri, where he will offer prayers at the sacred Shree Jagannath Temple. After the temple visit, he will proceed to the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
On December 28 (Sunday), the Chief Election Commissioner will visit several prominent cultural and heritage landmarks in the state. His itinerary includes the heritage village of Raghurajpur, the Dhauli Shanti Stupa, the ancient Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves, and the historic Mukteswar Temple in Bhubaneswar.
The official engagements will conclude on December 29 (Monday). At 3:00 PM, Kumar will preside over a meeting with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at the auditorium of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar, where he will also address the gathering. He is scheduled to depart from Bhubaneswar later that night.
The visit is expected to strengthen coordination with election officials and review grassroots-level electoral preparedness in the state.
