Bhubaneswar: The Centre on Thursday approved Odisha Government’s proposal for extension of Suresh Mahapatra’s tenure as Chief Secretary by six months.
On December 31, 2021, the State Government had written to Ministry of Personnel for extension of Mahapatra’s tenure by six months beyond his normal date of superannuation – February 28, 2022.
With the approval of extension, Mahapatra, a 1986-batch IAS officer, will be retiring from the Government service on August 31, 2022.
