Keonjhar: In a swift and decisive operation, Champua Police in Keonjhar district successfully solved a house burglary case within 24 hours of its registration.
The breakthrough led to the arrest of six persons belonging to an inter-district burglary gang that had been operating across Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as: Bhabani Sabar – Sambalpur; Bhaskar Sabar – Sambalpur; Anil Sabar – Sambalpur; Sima Sabar – Mayurbhanj; Sankar Sabar – Ranchi, Jharkhand; and Chalma Sabar – Gaya, Bihar.
The police acted promptly upon receiving the complaint and formed dedicated teams to trace the culprits. Following intensive investigation and field action, all six accused were apprehended and the stolen items recovered in full.
Police sources confirmed that the group had been involved in multiple burglaries and were under the radar of law enforcement in more than one state. Their arrest marks a significant step in curbing cross-border criminal activity in the region.
