Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Anu Garg conducted a review meeting with district Collectors to assess the progress of various government developmental schemes and programmes yesterday. Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, along with Principal Secretaries and Commissioners of concerned departments, attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed financial sanction and progress of projects under MLA LADS, MP LADS, and Chief Minister Special Assistance. Emphasis was placed on completing incomplete projects and initiating pending ones.
The meeting discussed problems and solutions in minor mineral management, submission of District Survey Reports (DSR) for mineral resource identification, implementation of airport and heliport projects, including land acquisition and compensatory afforestation, identifying locations for Excise Department facilities in districts, and progress of mega drinking water projects, inter-departmental coordination, and project implementation.
The meeting directed completion of single village drinking water projects and solar-powered drinking water projects by March 2026. Senior officers from concerned departments, including Planning and Coordination, attended the meeting.
