Baripada: The 3-year-old child who had gone missing from Salia Sahi slum under Nayapalli police limits of Bhubaneswar on Monday was rescued by Bahalda police in Mayurbhanj district today.
According to reports, a woman identified as Padmabati Nag and her husband of Moranda village under Bahalda police station limits in Mayurbhanj district had abducted the child from Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar.
Bahalda police after rescuing the child from the clutches of Padmabati and her husband at Bahalda bus stand have handed him over to Nayapalli police.
Padmabati and her husband have been arrested by the police while another person involved in the abduction is on the run.
