Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a child was abducted after being lured with chocolate in Balipatpur village in Khurdha. The victim, Chandan Behera, son of Keshav Behera, was successfully rescued and reunited with his family.
According to reports, the child was abducted and taken to a location near Gopinatpur in Baramba area of Cuttack. However, the abductors was unable to take the child further due to crowd in the local market and left the minor boy alone. Locals rescued the boy and informed the police.
Baramba police station officials arrived at the spot and took the child into the custody.
Following a thorough investigation, the police contacted Chandan’s family this morning, and they rushed to the police station and received the son with due legal procedure.
The police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the abduction and to identify the perpetrator.
