Bhubaneswar: Residents of Odisha can expect chilly weather ahead as the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has forecast a gradual fall in minimum temperatures across State over the next few days.
Temperatures came down in the capital city Bhubaneswar. While 28°C was recorded at 5:30 pm yesterday, it was 26°C today
The minimum temperature in Phulbani was 12.5°C, weather scientist Umashankar Dash stated.
The state capital Bhubaneswar is expected to record lows of around 17°C, while Cuttack is likely to touch 16°C by mid-next week.
The temperature decline is attributed to clear skies and prevailing dry north-easterly winds, signalling the seasonal transition toward winter conditions. The minimum temperature is expected to fall by 2°C to 3°C over the next 2-3 days, with cooler nights prevailing across both interior and coastal Odisha through November 15.
Phulbani recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 12.5°C, while Nayagarh registered the highest maximum temperature of 34°C. Bhubaneswar reported a maximum temperature of 32.3°C and a minimum of 18.9°C.
