Bhubaneswar: A special team of the Commissionerate Police arrested a prisoner who escaped from Choudwar jail from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.
DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania confirmed the arrest, stating Sahani was hiding in disguise. He is being brought back to Odisha on transit remand. With Sahani’s arrest, two of the three escapees have now been caught.
Earlier, co-accuse Madhukant Rana was arrested from Vrindavan. The escapees had cut the jail grill and fled on Dussehra day, raising questions about jail security. Police are investigating the escape and possible inside help.
