Bhubaneswar: Odisha vigilance sleuths on Wednesday launched a series of surprise searches at three locations linked to Purendra Kumar Sethy, a record supplier of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Bhubaneswar on allegations of amassing disproportionate assets (DA).
A team of vigilance officials, led by three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), one Assistant Commandant, five Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff, descended upon the three locations, armed with search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Bhubaneswar.
Here are details of the locations where the vigilance team is carrying out searches:
- A four-storeyed building of Sethy over plot No. 486/2175, Kanan Vihar, Phase-II, Patia, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
- His paternal house located at Village- Keupada, Po- Anantapur, Dist- Jagatsinghpur.
- Office room of Sethy located in the O/o Director, CHSE, Odisha, Samantrapur in Bhubaneswar.
The vigilance department is reported to have seized some important documents and records related to his work as a record supplier.
As the searches are underway further updates are awaited.
