Bhubaneswar: A Class X student of SSD Girls’ High School under Mathili block in Malkangiri district died under mysterious circumstances.
The cause of death remains unclear.
According to reports, the student had complained of eye pain and was taken to the Mathili Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. She was discharged from the hospital after treatment. The student’s condition worsened after she had her lunch under mid-day meal programme.
She complained of stomach pain and she was readmitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her illness while undergoing treatment.
However, the hospital authorities have failed to provide a clear explanation for the student’s death. Meanwhile, the deceased student’s family has filed a written complaint with the Mathili police station, demanding an investigation into the matter.
