Clerk Gets Three Years RI In Corruption Case In Bargarh

Bhubaneswar: A retired senior clerk was convicted by a special vigilance court in Sambalpur and sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment.

The court also imposed a fine on Dukalu Dharua, Ex-Sr. Clerk and I/c Cashier of Sohela Block in Bargarh. Dharua was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c)(d) of PC Act, 1988/409/467/468/471/477-A/120-B/34 IPC for misappropriation of government money by adopting illegal means.

Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for the stoppage of the pension of Dharua following his conviction.
