Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched different projects having a combined worth of Rs 488 crore in Padmapur constituency of Bargarh district.
The Chief Minister launched 20 irrigation projects worth Rs 10 crore. He launched work for the Krishi Bazaar infrastructure project worth Rs 18.48 crore.
For the development of communications in Padmapur area, the Chief Minister launched work for 38 bridges worth Rs 260 crore and work on 25 roads worth Rs 136 crore, rural infrastructure projects worth Rs 9 crore, 4 rural markets worth Rs 60 lakhs and 16 urban infrastructure projects worth Rs 4.22 crore have also been started.
Along with this, projects worth Rs 300 crore for 3 blocks and urban area of Padmapur were also inaugurated today. These projects include 20 Kalyan Mandaps with Panchayat Bhawan, Grameen Bazar and Common Facility Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said that cooperation from all Padmapur area can be a model of development.
He said these projects will play an important role in the development of Padmapur area.
Stating that the blessings of Lord Nrusingnath have sanctified the land of Padmapur, the Chief Minister said that work has started for the development of this shrine to increase the income of the local people.
He informed that Rs 26 crore will be spent for the development of Nrusingnath and Veda Barah Peeth.
Stating that school transformation under 5T has played a special role in the development of education, the Chief Minister informed that as many as 30 schools have been transformed in Padmapur area under the programme and work on 44 more has started.
Finance Minister Niranchan Pujari, Labour Minister Shrikant Sahu, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Minister Rita Sahu, Bhatli MLA Sushant Singh, Bargarh MLA Debesh Acharya and Atabira MLA Snehangini Chhuriya took part in the programme and praised the strong leadership, vision and foresight of the Chief Minister.
They opined that Chief Minister has taken up programmes with special attention for the development of western Odisha.
