The deceased police personnel have been identified as Jagannath Mahali and Lokanath Shabar.

The incident took place when a sand-laden truck collided with a PCR van from the C.R.R.I. police station near Gati Routpatna.

The body of the deceased was sent for a post-mortem examination earlier today. Following the procedure, the body was brought to Mangalabag police station, where senior police officials, including Cuttack DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo, were present.

As a mark of respect, the police personnel paid tribute by offering a guard of honour to the deceased, in a solemn and dignified ceremony held at the station premises.
