Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday congratulated the Odisha Senior Men’s Roll Ball Team for winning the bronze medal at the National East Zone Senior Roll Ball Championship 2026, held at Shillong in Meghalaya.
In a post on his official X handle, Chief Minister Majhi extended his best wishes to the players and coaches, expressing hope for their continued success and bright future in the field of sports.
“Congratulations to Odisha’s Senior Men’s Roll Ball Team, the bronze medal winners at the National East Zone Senior Roll Ball Championship 2026 held in Shillong, Meghalaya. Along with wishing all players and coaches a bright future, we also wish them continued progress in the field of sports,” CM Majhi wrote.
The championship concluded recently at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex in Shillong. Odisha’s senior men’s team performed impressively to secure the bronze medal, adding another feather to the state’s growing achievements in Roll Ball.
Apart from Odisha, the two-day tournament featured teams from Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Meghalaya and Nagaland, producing several exciting and high-intensity matches.
The championship was organised by the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association under the aegis of the Roll Ball Federation of India in collaboration with Meghalaya’s Department of Sports & Youth Affairs.
