Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida along with other top leaders extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Odisha and the nation on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.
In a post on X, CM Majhi paid tribute to freedom fighters and called for collective efforts to build a prosperous state and nation.”
On Independence Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the people of Odisha and the nation. I pay my deepest tribute to the unsung heroes, known and unknown, whose courage, sacrifice and unwavering patriotism helped India rise to freedom. Their contribution may not always find a place in history’s pages, but their sacrifices live forever in the freedom we cherish,” Majhi stated.
“Let us honour their legacy by serving the nation with unity, integrity and resolve, and building a Samruddha Odisha and Viksit Bharat,” he added.
Deputy CM KV Singh Deo also greeted the people and remembered the martyrs. “On this 80th Independence Day, we bow in reverence to the countless martyrs whose sacrifices gifted us freedom and dignity. Eight decades of resilience, progress, and unity have shaped India into a beacon of democracy and strength. As we salute the Tricolour, we renew our pledge to uphold justice, liberty, and equality. Odisha stands resolute in its journey towards a Viksit Bharat—where every citizen shares in prosperity, and our collective spirit builds a nation worthy of its glorious legacy,” Singh Deo said.
Deputy CM Pravati Parida extended her greetings through a video message. “Heartfelt greetings and best wishes to you all on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day,” she stated.
