Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday expressed gratitude to outgoing Director General of Police YB Khurania on his last day in office.
Khurania is scheduled to retire today.In a post on X, the CM wrote, “On the occasion of the end of his term, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha, Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, for his long and dedicated service.
“Majhi lauded Khurania’s tenure, saying, “His leadership in maintaining law and order, maintaining peace and harmony in the state and making the Odisha Police Administration more efficient, empowered and people-centric is commendable.”
“My best wishes for a peaceful, healthy and prosperous retirement,” the Chief Minister added.New DGP In-Charge To Take Charge
Crime Branch DG, a 1993 batch IPS officer, will take charge as the DGP in-charge of Odisha Police today following Khurania’s retirement.
