Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his warm wishes to farmers on National Farmers’ Day, highlighting the government’s efforts to uplift them.
Majhi emphasised that farmer welfare is a top priority, with initiatives like CM-KISAN. Besides, CM Majhi also acknowledged their hard work in feeding the state.
Taking to his X handle, Majhi wrote: “On the occasion of National Farmers’ Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the farmer brothers and sisters. Your relentless efforts and contributions towards building a hunger-free society by providing food to all are unparalleled. The overall development of farmers has always been our government’s top priority. In this context, we have increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy to Rs 3,100 per quintal. We are also working tirelessly to empower farmers economically and socially through various welfare schemes such as ‘Krusakabidya Nidhi’ for higher education of farmers’ children, interest-free agricultural loans, crop insurance, and CM-KISAN.”
