Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday celebrated the completion of two years in office, describing it as the beginning of a ‘new era of good governance’ in Odisha.

In a heartfelt message addressed to the people of Odisha, CM Majhi credited the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the unwavering trust of the Odia people for the government’s achievements.

He said the journey began exactly two years ago on June 12, 2024, when the BJP-led government assumed power. As a son of this soil, I was entrusted with the sacred duty to serve you under the guidance of the esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.”

Highlighting his grassroots journey, the Chief Minister recalled his evolution from a teacher to sarpanch and later as an MLA.

“With the dedicated heart of a volunteer, the journey I began—from teacher to sarpanch, and later as an MLA, standing by the people in their joys and sorrows—remains steadfast even today as I hold the state’s highest responsibility. Your genuine affection and blessings are my true strength. I am one of you; your brother, your son, your Mohan. For me, this position of Chief Minister is not a pedestal of power, but a sacred medium for public service” wrote CM.

Majhi lauded the performance of his ‘People’s Government,” saying it has earned the trust of every Odia through dedicated service and good administration. He pointed to visible development currents flowing across sectors — from villages to cities, agriculture to industries, and education to healthcare.

“This two-year journey is not merely a measure of time; it is a resolute yajna of service, dedication, and building a prosperous Odisha,” he stated.

The Chief Minister reiterated his vision of building a “prosperous, empowered, and developed Odisha,” calling it the collective dream and resolve of over four crore Odias. He urged everyone to unite and dedicate themselves to the service of ‘Mother Utkala’ to accelerate the pace of development.

” This two-year journey is not merely a measure of time; it is a resolute yajna of service, dedication, and building a prosperous Odisha. My dream is to build a prosperous, empowered, and developed Odisha. This dream is not just mine; it is the collective resolve of over four crore Odias” CM maintained.

He further wrote: “This two-year journey is not merely a measure of time; it is a resolute yajna of service, dedication, and building a prosperous Odisha. My dream is to build a prosperous, empowered, and developed Odisha. This dream is not just mine; it is the collective resolve of over four crore Odias.”

This comes as the BJP government completes its first two years in power in the state after ending the long-standing BJD rule.
