CM Majhi Mourns Passing Of Sambalpur Litterateur Binod Kumar Pasayat

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned Sambalpuri playwright, poet, and litterateur Binod Kumar Pasayat, a recipient of the Padma Shri award.

In a tweet, Majhi described Pasayat’s passing as an ‘irreparable loss’ to Odisha’s literature and culture.

The Chief Minister prayed for the departed soul’s peace and strength for Pasayat’s family to cope with the loss.

Condoling Pasayat’s death, Majhi wrote: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of the distinguished playwright, poet, and litterateur Binod Kumar Pasayat, a recipient of the Padma Shri award. His demise is an irreparable loss to our literature and culture. I pray to Lord Jagannath that He grants peace to the departed soul and provides strength to his family to bear this sorrow.”
