Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed the Crime Branch to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the mob lynching incident in Balianta area of Bhubaneswar.
A high-level meeting was convened at Lok Seva Bhavan today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Majhi to review the sensitive case. After detailed deliberations, the Chief Minister instructed the Crime Branch to carry out a proper and comprehensive probe and ensure strict action against those found guilty.
Expressing serious concern over the incident, Majhi urged the Director General of Police (DGP) to remain highly alert and vigilant so that such unfortunate incidents do not recur in the state. He also directed the police administration to take stringent measures to strengthen the law and order situation.
