Bhubaneswar: Three lecturers working at Jajpur Government Polytechnic have been placed under suspension for misconduct, following the directive of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
They are senior lecturer Nrusingha Charan Behera, lecturer Sandeep Mohapatra and lecturer P Aradhana.
As per the allegation, these teachers were involved in arguments, scuffle and other undignified acts among themselves during a meeting on October 26 and afterwards.
Despite being in a dignified profession like teaching, by indulging in such indecent acts in a meeting and in the presence of students, they have not only tarnished the image of the educational institution but also had a serious adverse impact on the academic environment of the entire institution.
For this reason, the Chief Minister has directed to suspend the three lecturers and take disciplinary action against them.
