Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will review the current flood situation in the state and conduct an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Jajpur and Bhadrak districts today.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister informed that the government is keeping a close watch on the flood situation that has arisen due to renewed continuous rainfall in some parts of the state.
He stated that the district administrations are fully alert and present at the field level, monitoring the situation while continuing necessary rescue and relief operations. To ensure smooth management of these efforts, three senior and experienced officers have been assigned special responsibility for Baleshwar, Bhadrak and Jajpur districts. The Special Relief Commissioner is maintaining continuous coordination with all district administrations and overseeing the ongoing work.
“Reaching assistance quickly to the affected people and ensuring their safety is our highest priority. I will visit the flood-affected areas and make an on-the-spot assessment of the situation,” the Chief Minister said.
