Bhubaneswar: The Niyukti Mela, scheduled for today at the Rail Auditorium in Bhubaneswar, will see Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi handing over appointment letters to the selected 1326 candidates across nine departments.
As per the official sources, the appointments are spread across key departments. The Housing and Urban Development Department accounts for the largest share with 364 offers, followed by the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department with 361 and the Energy Department with 240. The Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department and the Health and Family Welfare Department will each receive 118 and 111 appointments repectively.
Smaller numbers of offers will go to the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department (86), the Sports and Youth Services Department (26), the Skill Development and Technical Education Department (10), and the Excise Department (10).
The drive forms part of the state government’s ongoing series of recruitment events aimed at providing government jobs to youth across Odisha.
