Bhubaneswar: The annual Kalinga Bali Yatra in Paradip is scheduled to begin on November 23 and will continue for seven days. The fair duration can be extended if needed.
The key decisions regarding arrangements and execution were finalised during the preparatory meeting held for the historic fair.
According to reports, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is likely to inaugurate the festival this year as well. The organising committee has decided to extend a formal invitation to CM for the inaugural ceremony.
This time, the organisers are aiming to make the event grander and more engaging compared to previous editions. To draw more crowd, plans are afoot to rope in popular artists from Ollywood and Bollywood for cultural performances during the week-long celebration.
Industries Minister Sampad Swain stated that the Chief Minister would be invited to inaugurate the event and added that apart from preserving heritage and culture, the Kalinga Bali Yatra serves as an excellent medium to link the younger generation with history.
