Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is gearing up to host OdishaTex 2025, Eastern India’s largest textile and apparel showcase, at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar on July 25 (Friday). The mega event is expected to position Odisha as a leading hub for textiles, apparel, and technical textiles in India.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate the event in the presence of key dignitaries, industry leaders, and government officials. The event will see participation from over 500 delegates, including top textile companies, global brands, manufacturers, startups, and investors.

To be held at Lok Seva Bhawan, OdishaTex 2025 will serve as a dynamic platform for collaboration, networking, and showcasing innovations in the textile sector. The event will spotlight investment opportunities in apparel, footwear, accessories, technical textiles, and luggage manufacturing.

Significant announcements, including the signing of multiple MoUs and fresh investment commitments by industry giants, are anticipated during the summit. These developments are expected to provide a major boost to Odisha’s industrial growth and contribute toward the state’s ambitious goal of becoming the “Textile Capital of India” by 2030.

Odisha is preparing to present a future-ready textile ecosystem, supported by integrated parks, a skilled workforce, MSME empowerment, and sustainable practices.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain reviewed the final venue preparations on Thursday and expressed confidence in the state’s readiness to host the landmark event.
